Her award-winning work explores the dynamic relationship between the natural world and life’s evolving moments, reflecting themes of inhabitation, abandonment and memory. Through her photography, Sakai bridges the tangible and metaphysical, capturing profound beauty in the atmosphere and dynamism of place.
