Painting into drawing, drawing into sculpture; what defines each and how can we create something new by oscillating between two and three dimensions?
In this Intermediate/Advanced mixed media class, students will learn to let concepts dictate the medium used and will expand the individual’s repertoire of inspiration and references beyond the perceptual. Students will learn to establish a private studio practice with a personalized vocabulary of tools, techniques, and ideas as they begin to develop a body of work.
Who is this class for: Students should have completed at least one Intro to Drawing and Intro to Painting course, and have a solid understanding of color theory and composition.
