With the theme of Mythological characters and creatures, this class combines art history lectures and discussion with figure drawing &  painting. We will trace the visual imagery of different myths and learn to plan creative compositions from imagination, art historical context, and reference material. On alternating weeks, we will realize our artistic visions with the help and creativity of life models, costumes, props and scenery. Drawing or painting in a variety of styles, from abstract to realistic, will be encouraged.
