This sketchbook workshop is designed for artists, writers, and researchers alike. Learn how to collect data and store it in a way that feels relevant to your way of thinking and to your practice. Borrow from favorite writers and learn how to pull from images that you have long responded to. The instructor will also offer resources on image-collecting and printing. This five-week workshop will unfold as a dialogue among the students and instructor, as each student shares findings and methods that successfully help them build a personal sketchbook.
Who is this workshop for: This workshop is highly recommended for students of all levels. Certificate students are required to keep a sketchbook, and this workshop will be of great value to them.
Materials List - These are the materials you will need for this class.
- 9x12 inch sketchbook (IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT YOU TAKE ALINA LIAO’S SKETCHBOOK-MAKING WORKSHOP ON SEPT. 21ST PRIOR TO THIS CLASS)
- Scissors
- Glue
- Coloring pens
- Collage Material (old images, magazines, favorite clippings)

If you are unsure if a class is right for you, please read our Pathway To Sucess: A Guide or have a conversation with a Faculty member or our Head of Faculty before the first week of the term comes to an end. Once the second week of classes starts, no refunds will be offered.
