OUR MISSION
The Washington Studio School and artist community has existed for over 40 years, offering rigorous studio art instruction for adults, teaching students how to see, think, and immerse themselves in the process of artmaking through strong technical ability and meaningful conceptual development. We offer classes, workshops, exhibitions, and programs that encourage artists to grow, explore, learn together, and create art that is personal and relevant. By bringing people together with a fresh approach to studio art, the school builds bridges across the DC arts community and strives to make art accessible to everyone.
